Hold your breath, and count to ten..

hey guys!

So have any of you heard the new Adele song, Skyfall? If you haven't go check it out. Like it literally is amazing, and I'm not just saying that because I like...LOVE her! The song has a very vintage 60s feel, and if a song can make me feel as if I'm in that time period, then wow. Just WOW. It's got my Grammy nomination if I could nominate people for that type of thing. (: I think I must have played it 20+ times today and sang it too at practice. (Which has finally started! Wooo!) It's like candy for my ears... xD Is that too far? I don't think so...I could keep ranting and raving but I have to go read for my English class. -.-  Don't get me wrong, I love to read, but only when the book appeals to me and Siddhartha isn't cutting it so far. Whatever, apparently I can't graduate if I don't take this class so I better pass. Below should be the link to Skyfall..Enjoy my lovely viewers (:

Crazy People=Crazy World

Hey guys!

I just thought i'd post a little update as to how i'm doing. I got home last night at around 6 and relaxed until bedtime. I never thought traveling for so long could be so tiring, but it is. I also never realized how amazing coming home to my own bed really is! Being away from everything you know for two weeks is difficult and a little odd. Nobody's house will ever smell quite the same as your own, the sheets on the beds aren't as soft, and I highly doubt that anybody could cook better than what I was raised on! (:

Enough about that, I had some interesting adventures in New York, like almost getting shot and being asked if I like my french fries salty or not. Haha it's a really long story that I'll tell some other time because i'm running out of time. It seems like I always am running out of time...somebody has to make a time machine or something cause I know the world could use a few extra moments to relive. Well, that's about it. I really miss the East coast and all the nice people I met, but I'm home. (:

The car ride home...

Let me paint this picture for you...6 people crammed into a minivan. No room for my little legs, the trunk so full I can't see out the back window and me shoved in between Madi and Colton. It seems like we have more stuff than we originally did before. Oh wait, we do. One person takes their shoes off and the whole car smells like goat cheese and onions. I used to like onions, but now I'm not so sure... Mom says I'll miss family road trips when I leave for college, but I doubt it. I will not miss being stuck in the middle of two kids who fight constantly, I won't miss being cramped and I especially won't miss having to stop every hour because somebody has to use the bathroom. I won't miss the onion feet smell either. We're only in Ohio and I'm going nuts!

*later...*

Colton thinks its hot in here, so he took off his shirt. Guess who isn't wearing deodorant? That guy! 2 seconds later.."ewwww! who smells?!" Only 895 miles until I'm home now...Indiana is super weird. They don't have any towns to really pull off of, they have these things called travel stations. Travel stations are like a rest area but with one building containing 3-4 little restaurants and the standard bathroom. They're actually pretty cool (: cause then you only have to stop once to eat and do your thing!

hopefully Chicago comes soon. I like to see the lights <3

No MORE POTTERMORE! ):

)':  guess what guys? I was playing Pottermore all day today, and I finally finished Book 2! As I went to move on, the computer wouldn't let me, so I googled. I even made a second account because I thought mine was being funny. I came to find out that Pottermore hasn't even released Book 3 yet because they just finished/released the last chapters of book 2 on HALLOWEEN! :O  So now, I have to wait like a gajillion years before all the dang books are finished. I am having withdrawls...I need to collect some Bertie Botts beans or Galleons or something! Hmm...maybe i'll just have my cousins hide a bunch of jelly beans so I can find them... (:  or maybe i'll start playing on my second account and blog about how to get house points! <----BETTER IDEA! Gosh I'm so smart :D Well, it's suppertime, mom made turkey bean soup (uhh, YUM!) so i'm gonna skedaddle. Later guys!

Add me on Pottermore!!: QueenPurple7407 or ProphecyErised5159

That's alot of movies, and i've seen more (: When I think about it, that's at least 2 weeks of my life spent watching movies...WOW. Tonight I get to go see Breaking Dawn Part 2 with my grandmas friend and her daughter (who my brother has a crush on and he's only said hi to her like, twice.) But whatever! I'm so excited!!! New York has been pretty awesome this last week, except for losing grandpa, but life goes on. I'll have to post pics of my journey to NY and back to Montana next week, only because I won't be home until this Sunday. Well, my fellow fans, I love you all and thanks for the 319 views you've given me <3

Traveling...Almost like National Lampoons Family Vacation

Hey guys!

So we just got out of Chicago and long story short, OMG! So much traffic!! I took pics, but some aren't very good but oh well, I'll show them anyways... We pulled in right by O'Hare International and a plane flew right over us..it was so cool! I saw the Morton Salt Company, lots of skyscrapers and very large sculptures along they way too, but we were moving too fast and by the time I got my phone unlocked, we had already passed whatever I wanted to take a picture of. :( hopefully I can get more on the way back home! I'm in Indiana right now and boy..it's busy...tons of semis. We aren't going to make it into Buffalo until around 3 a.m. so look for more posts if I get bored..

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

so it's like 3 in the morning and I'm eating Rolos while looking at tattoos and listening to Luke Bryan when I come across this saying by Shakespeare...

That's it. I read it and it was a done deal...this is my future tat! Because honestly, it suits me. I am tiny and people get the impression that they can walk all over me and its like uhh no! I don't think so! I am fierce...so fierce Beyonce would be jealous! Okay maybe that's just the sleep deprivation talking but who cares I am going to own it (:  Now I just need to find a place to put it
...either my wrist, foot or collarbone. I was so excited I thought id share that with you! (:

now I will try to sleep cause dads driving and the roads are good so I trust him. I love the interstate..I miss it a lot! It's so much faster than what im used to now., which is taking dinky highway 2! But I digress, it still gets me from point a to point b so I guess its not horrible until you factor in all the oil trucks..whatever. I'm tired and ranting and raving.

New York? Uhh...WHAT?!

hey guys,
The last 2 days have been a whirlwind of emotions as my grandpa had a stroke and doctors have said he isn't going to make it. He's on life support as I write this and my grandma is waiting for us before she signs to take him off life support. :( So the family (more like the Ark) is going to New York to say goodbye and whatnot. I didn't even feel like writing this but I guess it's okay to talk it about it and lay it all out on the table. It's so hard to know someone you love is dying, but its even harder knowing you have to let them go. I cried all day today and I'm about to start crying now...mom says its okay to cry, but I hate crying. My eyes get puffy and red, my nose runs like an Olympic runner and I shake more than an earthquake.
I've already decided I'm getting a tattoo eventually but I don't know what of. Something so I always have a little piece of him with me everywhere I go..Im thinking an anchor or bird. Something that represents strength..I dunno yet.
My grandpa was a strong man, he had 3 kidney transplants and raised my dad and uncle, which probably wasn't an easy job if you see how my dad and uncle act... They have burping and farting wars, talk about cars, guns and other stuff that's just dumb. My grandpa also married my grandma, and I gotta tell you, she's a peach somedays but others she isn't...I don't know how he put up with her, but he did, and they always made it work.
Grandpa wasn't always the nicest, but that was mostly because he was always in the hospital for dialysis and on meds, but he still loved and was loved. It feels like there's an empty place in my heart now. No more birthday cards signed "love pop-pop Butler," and no more phone calls from that energetic voice saying "Hey Sammy!" They say only the good die young and its true, because my grandpa was only 52.
Sorry if I made anyone sad from reading that, I teared up a lot but yeah. I just needed to throw this out there. I don't usually like to talk about how I feel, I like to write it out. I guess I don't have much more to say except that its going to be a long ride to New York, shoved in a mini van with 2 whiny kids who have small bladders and loud mouths.... a.k.a my siblings whom I love very much, just not right now.
I'll try and post pics of the cities and other things when I go through the states. I haven't been to the east coast in 7 years so it's a little exciting knowing I get to go through Chicago and Minneapolis again. (: Ah well..that's about it, people are texting me left and right so I'm must go now.

Justin Bieber Fan? You better Belieb it! (;

hey guys!

so its 3:30 in the morning and I can't sleep so I just turned on the Justin Bieber movie....all I can say is WOW.! I never used to like him, mostly because every other girl did, but after watching this movie my respect goes out to him. If you haven't seen this movie, watch it! Even if you aren't a huge fan this movie will make you think a little bit differently about him. It's on Netflix and isn't all that long so go, go watch it now! What are you waiting for?! GO!!

My Cat!

Hey guys,

Today I want to talk about my cat. Now I know how odd this sounds, but if you've read my blog before you'll know that I've mentioned her a couple times and I think i'll miss her more than anything when I go off to college!
Her name is Tigger (: She lays with this stuffed polar bear every night..

You may be thinking, "Well why is she better than any other cat?"  Because she's mine, i've raised her and she's suuuuuuper smart! Now when I say raised her I don't mean she was a baby kitten when I found her. I had another cat, Angus, who I got after my mom's friend found him hiding in a car's tailpipe in the dead of winter. He later lost half his tail to frostbite, but he was still a happy cat. Anywho, Angus loved to be outside all the time, except for when he needed to eat or when it was winter. He would only eat canned food and if we didn't have that he would only eat the brown and red pieces from kibble food...he would spit the green ones out and leave them in a nice little pile.

He liked to hunt. For awhile we didnt have any birds come around our yard because he killed all of them as soon as he saw them..and then he'd bring them to me, drop them by my feet and rub up against my legs. Well winter came around, and Angus had started to come and go as he pleased and I couldn't figure out why. He never used to like the snow, but I soon realized why he kept wanting to go out. I went to let Angus in for the night and I saw her, she was sitting in the box, shiverring. She was a skinny thing with crusty looking eyes. She had one pointy ear, the other rounded and I liked her immediately! **We have this entryway with a screendoor that we propped open for Angus in case we forgot to let him back in after letting him out. We had 5 or 6 blankets placed around a middle-sized cardboard box out there with food and water and a heat lamp.  He had made a friend and brought her (Tigger) to come get food. She was a feral cat, who I don't think had ever been touched or fed by a human. Once she saw me she ran out of the entryway and back outside. I started putting more food out incase she came back, and every night the food was gone. I know Angus didn't eat it because I'd let him in and he would go dig into his food inside, leaving the green kibble behind.

Soon she didn't run away when I would feed her and sometimes even let me pet her. (: Eventually she came around and came inside all the time. But even then she stuck by myside like glue at all times and followed me everywhere. To my room, in the kitchen, even when I'd be in the bathroom getting ready in the morning she would be up on the counter, her eyes closed just taking it all in. Just a snuggley little thing. (: She's still that way today.

Angus and her were best friends, they hunted together, played together, and watched tv together. No joke, whenever spongebob came on they ran out to the living room, like actual humans, sat on the top of the couches, just staring at the tv. One day this past April, Angus didn't come home at night. The next morning, still no sign of him. He never came home. Mom thinks somebody took him, and I think he got eaten by a mountain lion or bit by a rattlesnake and died. :( Either way it was still sad! So now it's just Tigger.

People are amazed when they come to my house, see a cat, but don't see a litter box. They always ask, "Don't you have a litterbox?" To which I reply, "Nope. My cat is potty trained!" I wish I had a camera to take a picture of people's faces when I tell them that...haha. Seriously, Tigger is potty-trained. When she needs to go to the bathroom, she goes to the door and meows (she never used to meow, so Caleb taught her how), let her our and give her 5 minutes, after that, open the door and she's sitting there waiting, just like a dog. I can't even begin to descibe my cat in under 700 words. She lays with me and her polar bear everynight, she's potty trained, and she's cute. (: What could be better in a cat? Nothing.

winter is hereeee!

Snow is literally falling so fast right now and I'm loving every second of it (: I made a poem in the hopes of school being canceled tomorrow and its to the tune of Call Me Maybe...

Big flakes are falling
and this is crazy
cause its a blizzard
so no school maybe?!

haha have a good night guys and be safe!

Thanksgiving? Gobble, Gobble!!

Hey guys,

So last week I said I was going to post about Thanksgiving and how awesome my grandmas food is (uhh corn cassarole anyone?) and possibly post some recipes 'cause y'know, Thanksgiving is just one of those holidays where you can eat and eat and eat and not feel guilty about it. (Well, I don't anyways.) I'm just so excited for my grandmas mashed potatoes and turkey 'cause well, they're the best! Everything Grandma makes is homemade and made with love, which is prolly why it's so good. On a sidenote: have you ever gone to a friends and they're like "My mom makes the best (insert food here)!" and you're like "oh how nice," but really you're thinking "Noooo way Jose! My mom makes waaaaay better!?" Haha, because I totally do!  But hey, I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Anyways, my grandma knows I don't like pie very much so she makes me a pan of her lemon bars. This recipe has been handed down from generation to generation and now I have it. (: I wish I would've taken a picture of them the last time I made them so you could see what they look like at every step, but oh well! Below is the recipe...

Great-Great Grandma Rude's Lemon Bars

You will need:

1/2 cup of margarine
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1 and 1/2 cups of sifted flour (I've used unsifted before and there is no difference)

Preheat the oven to 350° and combine ingredients in a bowl. It will look like a crust, which then you will need to put in a greased bar pan. (A double batch fits a 9x13 pan pretty nicely) Let it cool for 15-20 minutes.

Lemon Filling:

3 eggs
2 tablespoons of flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder (NOT BAKING SODA!)
1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
and a pinch of salt

Mix together, but don't over mix otherwise the eggs will be too fluffy and the filling won't turn out right. Pour over cooled crust and bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool completely before the next step. **If you don't have freshly squeezed lemon juice, the stuff in the bottle is okay too.

Frosting:

1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 tsp of milk (2% and nothing else)
1 and 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons margarine

Frost and enjoy! (:

Ermahgerd.

So, I never usually read the paper, mostly because I never know where to look for one, but today my English teacher had one sitting on the podium and I grabbed it, snatched that sucker up because you know me, I love knowledge! (: Anyways, I'm glad I did because I got to the health section and WALLAH! An article about starting to treat cheerleaders as athletes! I know what you might be thinking, "Obsessed much?" Uh YES!

Here's me..with the paper (:
The lady who wrote the article talked about how dangerous cheering is and that because of that matter it should be considered an MHSA sport and I agree 100%! My life has been made...thank you Billings Gazette! Click Here to view the original article featured in the Billings Gazette.

Another Short Post Cause I Don't Have Enough..

Hey guys...

If this seems a little forced, it's because it is. I don't meet the requirements for short posts in my English class, so I have to make them up now because next week is finals week and I really don't want to fail this class. So that's why there's been little itty-bitty posts this week and not a huge one. I'm running out of ideas on what to write about, mostly because I have classmates that have their own topics and I don't want to be like "I'm gonna write about this and steal your topic HAHA!" No that'd be mean because I'd steal their fanbase and I want to be original (don't we all?) Oh, the challenges I face! So sorry if this just clogs up your blogfeed, ignore future posts because i'm sure they won't be 100% awesome, like me! (:

Song of the day: Call Me by shinedown < la-la-loooooove it!!! (:

Happy Wednesday <3

Rings (:

I don't think i've told many people about my current obsession, rings! I wear them a lot and I have a few different ones, like a rabbit that's chasing a flower and a t-rex one I got in Minnesota, but i'm always looking for new ones. This last weekend I bought one thats a rhinestone gun and is so gawdy, but it's probably my favorite so far because i've gotten at least 10+ comments on it! Don't get me wrong I love the other ones, but I la-la-loved it, so i bought it :P
freaking sweet! and it was only $5 (: which equals a happy Sam!

Here's the bunny and dinosaur ring (:

For some odd reason, Blogger hates me and won't let me do a caption without messing up this whole post, i've had to write it 3x. So yeah, all I want for Christmas is a ring, something different, maybe an octopus or whale ring? I dunno (:

Be Aggressive!

Be Aggressive, B-E aggressive B-E  A-G-G-R-E-S-S-I-V-E!

Hey guys! So a couple days ago I said I was going to have a post on cheerleading, mostly because there's a lot of misconceptions of what cheerleaders really do. Some people say it's a sport, others think cheerleaders just get in the way of watching the games. What do I think? I am a cheerleader and I think that it is a sport, it may not always be competitive, but there are competitive teams who really do work hard and look great while being tossed into the air. There I just threw it out there. I hate talking about cheerleading in school, well because, I live in Montana and to most it isn't a sport. Everybody in our school thinks the cheerleading is so easy, one time a kid in my class even told me that it's pointless and isn't a sport that's needed. Which really, and I mean really ticked me off! Sure we don't do all the back handsprings, and basket tosses, (see below for an awesome one!) but we try. We try to get the crowd excited and pumped up to help the team win! We have practice, just like any other sport, we break fingers, have sore backs, twisted ankles and other various injuries but we still go on without complaining. *cough*footballboys*cough* (: We can only have 6 varsity cheerleaders, and believe me its a bit hard trying to do huge stunts with only 6 people. People are always telling me, "Why don't you guys do anything like other cheerleaders?" and here I am, trying to explain how its a little difficult trying to put 3 girls in the air and having 3 lift them up, with no spotters. It's dangerous, duh! People are so freaking dumb because then after hearing that, they retort back with "Well, it can't be THAT hard.!" I'd like to see you try lifting a girl who weighs as much as you, without dropping her, and smiling while doing it too. Oh, and by the way, i'd also like to see you try and coach 20-40 little kids a 32 count dance in an hour without one having an accident or crying because they didn't get put in the front row. Oh and could you keep your grades above failing when working 20+ hours a week with practice every night? Probably not. I'd like to see you try, and when you're successful, come back and tell me all about it and i'll serve you a nice slice of humble freakin' pie!!!

Here's a team I found on youtube...WOW! that first ripple had me! DISCLAIMER: I don't own any of the rights to this video.

But enough about that, tryouts are approaching and i'm really nervous! (biting fingernails..) I can tumble and I have the ability to be heard, but my arm movements aren't where they need to be and because of that I might get bumped down to junior varsity. :( I'm really trying, but lately it seems like it's not going anywhere. Plus I think i'm getting nervous because basketball season starts in 3 weeks and we don't have a cheer squad put together, haven't ordered uniforms or shoes, plus some of the new girls don't know any cheers. The next few weeks are going to be timed so tightly! Here's an awesome warmup I made on www.gtmsportswear.com

here's the front..with my name on it (:

Here's a picture of the back, blogger won't let me add a caption. :( Isn't it sorta cute?! I think so, but maybe that's just because I personalized it? Ahh, who cares it's not like we're really going to wear them. Well that's it, class is almost over so i'm going to leave you with a hint to next weeks blog...What's goes gobble gobble and gets eaten on the 3rd Thursday in November every year?

Have a great day guys!
